No cookies, no consent banner. We run no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no social media embeds, so there is nothing to ask your permission for and nothing to opt out of.

What we store on your device

One thing, and only if you use it. If you switch the site between light and dark mode, your browser saves that choice locally under the key eu-theme using localStorage. It is a single word — light or dark.

This is not a cookie: it is never sent to our server, cannot be read by any other website, and tells us nothing about you. It exists so the site does not flash the wrong colour scheme the next time you visit. Clearing your browser's site data removes it, and the site works normally without it.

Cookies our hosting provider may set

This site is served through Cloudflare. Cloudflare can set a strictly necessary cookie such as __cf_bm to distinguish automated traffic from real visitors when it detects a threat. It is a security measure, it is not used for advertising or profiling, and it is not set on ordinary visits. We do not control it and receive no data from it.

What we deliberately do not use

No Google Analytics, or any other analytics platform
No advertising or retargeting pixels
No embedded social media widgets
No session recording or heatmaps
No device fingerprinting

The only third-party request this site makes is to Google Fonts, to load the IBM Plex typefaces used throughout.

If this changes
